Dr. Maral Regas and Dr. Stephanie Arismendi join Dr. Adam E. Feret
WESTFIELD, N.J. - There’s three times as much to smile about at Westfield Smiles.
Dr. Adam E. Feret has added two dentists to his general dental practice in downtown Westfield, N.J.
Dr. Maral Regas and Dr. Stephanie Arismendi have joined the Westfield Smiles team. The practice, located at 440 East Broad Street, Westfield, NJ, and online at WestfieldSmiles.com, has been serving area patients for more than three decades.
"We have an excellent team, providing total dental care to our patients," Dr. Feret said. "The addition of Dr. Regas and Dr. Arismendi allow us to serve our patients even better."
Westfield Smiles Dental Health & Wellness Center believes in a team approach to dentistry. Using years of experience and training along with the latest technology, the practice looks at the whole patient rather than just the mouth.
"For years, we’ve described the mouth as the gateway to a patient’s health," said Alice Brown, long time practice manager for Westfield Smiles. "Adding two more dentists to the team allows us to provide this comprehensive approach to even more patients."
Dr. Arismendi joins the Westfield Smiles team after several years in private practice. Her goal is to provide patients with a high quality, comfortable dental experience.
"The best part of being a dentist is the feeling you made a positive difference by educating and helping patients protect their teeth and improve their smiles!" she said. "Being part of the practice of Dr. Feret will allow me to continue to do that."
Dr. Arismendi began her studies as a biology major at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where she graduated cum laude. She earned her doctor of dental medicine degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), now called Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. Following dental school, she completed a general practice residency at Methodist Hospital in New York.
Dr. Arismendi is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the New Jersey Dental Association. She is interested in all phases of dentistry and takes several continuing dental education courses each year. Those have recently included implant dentistry, endodontics, esthetic dentistry and Invisalign. She also volunteers at health fairs in New Jersey and New York.
When Dr. Arismendi is not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new cooking recipes. She speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. Regas joins Westfield Smiles after more than 10 years of clinical experience, three years in the United States Air Force and the last seven years in private practice in Jersey City, N.J.
"I was drawn to this practice because of the approach they take," Dr. Regas said. "There are many talented individuals looking at the entire patient – not just their teeth. I’m thrilled to be able to add my experiences to the team."
A native of Chelmsford, Mass., Dr. Regas graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University with a degree in child development. She graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with a doctor of medical dentistry degree.
Dr. Regas was selected for the highly competitive Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship. She received her initial officer training at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. She then completed a one year advanced education in general dentistry residency program at the 11th Dental Squadron at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C. She spent her last two years of service as a captain at the 305th Dental Squadron at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey, where she helped provide comprehensive dental care to more than 5,000 active duty air force troops.
Dr. Regas is committed to advanced education and training. She keeps up to date with research journals and attends dental meetings and classes on the latest advances in dentistry. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and Academy of Advanced Dental Education. Dr. Regas was a presenter at the table clinic at the Hinman Dental Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. She also enjoys providing outreach to area schools with oral health presentations.
In her spare time, Dr. Regas enjoys spending time with her husband Nick and their three young sons, Nickolas, Devan and Christian. She also enjoys traveling, running, cooking, and finishing a good book. The family recently moved to Westfield after living in Jersey City for eight years.
